Rihanna and Bruno, along with the other top nominees such as Ed Sheeran and DJ Khaled, are battling it out for Song of the Year Award.

AceShowbiz - iHeartMedia and Turner have announced the nominees for the annual iHeartRadio Music Awards. Multiple musicians dominate the pack with five nods. They are Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, DJ Khaled and Luis Fonsi.
The five of them are battling it out for Song of the Year. In addition, Bruno and Ed are in the running for Male Artist of the Year along with Charlie Puth, Shawn Mendes and The Weeknd. Rihanna, on the other hand, is pitted against the likes of Taylor Swift, Pink and Halsey for Female Artist of the Year Award.
The organization also revealed four new categories that hadn't appeared before. They are Best Solo Breakout, Best Remix, Best Boy Band and Cutest Musician's Pet. South Korean boybands Bangtan Boys a.k.a BTS and EXO are both nominated for Best Fan Army Award. BTS is also in the running for Best Boy Band Award along with CNCO, The Vamps and Why Don't We.
In the running for Cutest Musician's Pet Award is Demi Lovato's black pooch Batman, Bebe Rexha's dog Bear Rexha, Katy Perry's poodle Nugget, Taylor Swift's cat Olivia, Miley Cyrus' pig named Pig Pig and Ariana Grande's dog Toulouse.
Regarding the new categories, Chief Programming Office for iHearMedia Tom Poleman said, "We've expanded the iHeartRadio Music Awards categories each year to ensure it accurately reflects the tastes of the millions of listeners on our broadcast radio stations and on the iHeartRadio app."
Tickets for the event will go on sale to general public on Friday, January 12 at 10 A.M. PT on Ticketmaster. The winners will be announced at the fifth annual iHeartRadio Music Awards, which will air live from the Forum in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 11 on TBS, TNT and TruTV.
