AceShowbiz - "Black Panther" has landed 14 nominations for the 50th annual NAACP Image Awards.
The blockbuster, which is up for seven Oscars, will compete in a string of major categories on 30 March when the winners are announced at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
The ceremony celebrates the accomplishments of people of colour in TV, music, literature and film.
Barry Jenkins' "If Beale Street Could Talk" is second among the film nominees with nine mentions.
Both movies will compete for Outstanding Motion Picture with "BlacKkKlansman", "Crazy Rich Asians", and "The Hate U Give", and Outstanding Independent Motion Picture alongside "BlacKkKlansman", "Nappily Ever After", "Sorry to Bother You", and "Traffik", while "Black Panther" star Chadwick Boseman and "If Beale Street Could Talk" actor Stephan James will compete for Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture. Regina King of ("If Beale Street Could Talk") will fight for the Outstanding Supporting Actress honour with "Black Panther" trio Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, and Lupita Nyong'o.
Meanwhile, Boseman and "Black Panther" director Ryan Coogler and King will take on Beyonce Knowles and basketball superstar LeBron James for the Entertainer of the Year crown, and "Black-ish" leads all the TV nominations with eight and H.E.R. (Gabi Wilson) tops the music mentions with five.
