AceShowbiz - Marvel Comics is set to release a limited comic series titled Black Panther & Namor: Doomed, a spin-off from the ongoing Avengers: Armageddon storyline. The series follows the iconic heroes as they journey to Hell to confront Doctor Doom following his death in One World Under Doom.
The narrative picks up after Black Panther and Namor’s involvement in the battle against Red Hulk in Armageddon #1. In this new series, the two rulers investigate demonic attacks on their respective kingdoms, Wakanda and Atlantis, leading them to a supernatural confrontation with the wandering soul of Doctor Doom. The creative team behind the project includes writers Ethan S. Parker and Griffin Sheridan, with Stefano Nesi providing the artwork. Notably, Dave Johnson crafted the cover art for the series, which will be available in comic stores starting September 2, 2026.
Black Panther is best known for the 2018 superhero film produced by Walt Disney Pictures and directed by Ryan Coogler, starring Chadwick Boseman in the titular role. The character has since become a cornerstone of Marvel’s storytelling universe, both in comics and on screen. This series adds a new chapter to Black Panther’s legacy by exploring his complex dynamic with Namor and Doctor Doom in a high-stakes supernatural setting.
The significance of Black Panther & Namor: Doomed lies in its exploration of the intricate relationships and uneasy alliances among three of Marvel’s most compelling characters. By placing them in unfamiliar roles and environments, the series promises fresh storytelling opportunities that expand the mythology of Wakanda, Atlantis, and the Marvel Universe’s darker realms.
