AceShowbiz - The full nominees for the 2018 BET Awards have been revealed with DJ Khaled leading the pack. The 42-year-old record producer, who recently sparked controversy for his oral sex remarks, scores a total of six nods.
His nominations include Album of the Year for "Grateful" and Video of the Year for "Wild Thoughts" featuring Rihanna and Bryson Tiller. The hit song is additionally nominated for Best Collaboration and Coca-Cola Viewers' Choice.
Following Khaled's domination on the list is Kendrick Lamar who receives five nominations. The hip-hop star is pitted against Khaled in Best Collaboration, Video of the Year, Best Male Hip-Hop Artist, Album of the Year as well as Coca-Cola Viewers' Choice.
Migos, along with SZA, trails behind Lamar with four nominations. The other nominees include Bruno Mars, Drake, Beyonce Knowles, Jay-Z, Cardi B and Chris Brown. SZA and Beyonce are up for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, while Bruno and Chris are pitted against each other in Best Male R&B/Pop Artist.
Besides honoring those working on music, the BET Awards recognizes the best in movie. "Black Panther", "Girls Trip", "A Wrinkle in Time", "Detroit" and "Mudbound" are competing for Best Movie. As for Best Actress battle, there are Tiffany Haddish, Lupita Nyong'o, Issa Rae, Angela Bassett, Letitia Wright and Taraji P. Henson.
Athletes are also recognized at the award-giving show. Sisters Serena and Venus Williams are among nominees for Sportswoman of the Year, while the likes of Stephen Curry, LeBron James and Kevin Durant are vying for Sporstman of the Year.
The 2018 BET Awards will air live on Sunday, June 24 from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. As for now, host and performers haven't been announced.
