AceShowbiz - Justin Bieber was one of the stars invited to perform at the 30th anniversary of "Christmas in Washington" concert on Sunday night, December 11. The Canadian popstar joined host Conan O'Brien, President Barack Obama and the first family to close the gig with the last number of the evening, "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing".

Bieber opted for a gentlemanly look by wearing a white tuxedo with black lapel, a tie and a pair of black tailored dress pants. Standing next to him were "Victorious" star Victoria Justice, who dazzled in a strapless red gown, and "American Idol" alum Jennifer Hudson, who looked equally beautiful in a sparkly brown outfit.

Earlier in the evening, Bieber performed solo delivering his reggae-infused holiday song "Mistletoe". At the backstage, the singer, who made his "Christmas in Washington" debut two years ago, said that gig was the first time he ever felt nervous about performing. "It's been kind of smooth sailing after that. Nothing is as nerve-wracking as performing for the president," he said.

Hours before the show, Bieber gave his fans a health scare when he tweeted, "waking up with a bad cold...weather change. but will be ready tonight for CHRISTMAS in WASHINGTON. #resting." He, however, showed up at the rehearsals and finally made it to the stage. "Great night! President Obama is one cool Prez. He told me he was "chillin." #PresidentialSWAG," he wrote.

J-Hud, meanwhile, did the honor in belting out "Do You Hear What I Hear". Talking to the press about the gig, she said she "lost count" of how many times she performed for the President. "But every time feels like the first time, and I get anxious," she stated before adding that her son David "was supposed to come, but his trip got cut short, so he's back at home with his grandma." She shared, "Hopefully we'll get to watch this together."

While Bieber and J-Hud got acquainted with the "butterflies" quite well, Justice did admit she's "a little nervous." The Nickelodeon star sang "Winter Wonderland" and "Let It Snow". During the dress rehearsal, she tweeted, "Getting sooo excited. I'm meeting the President in less than 45 mins. :{o! Can't wait 2 sing. Wish me luck!" She later followed it up with another message, "Such an honor performing 4 every1 2night. ... It's a great show!"

The other stars who performed that night were Cee-Lo Green and The Band Perry. The Gnarls Barkley star kicked off the festive concert, which benefits the Children's National Medical Center, with his renditions of "This Christmas" and "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town". Meanwhile, the country singing sensation trio took on Bing Crosby's classic "I'll Be Home for Christmas".

Before the last number was delivered by the first family and the crowd were sent home, each star got their own solo sets as part of the closing medley. The Band Perry did "Mary Did You Know", Bieber sang "Away in a Manger", Justice performed "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear", Cee-Lo caroled "Silent Night", and J-Hud played her own spin on "O Holy Night".

While the performers catered the attendees with holiday songs, host Conan entertained them with his jokes. "It's especially exciting to be here during this joyous season, when we celebrate the arrival of a miracle child, worshiped by millions around the world. Of course I'm talking about Justin Bieber," he told the crowd.

"My 8-year-old daughter loves him. Or at least that's what I tell people when they ask why I'm carrying a lock of his hair in my pocket," the host of "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien" continued. Later on, he inserted a joke about one of today's hot topics, "The last event I hosted was Kim Kardashian's bridal shower. I had a bad feeling about that one."

The President himself closed the night by thanking all the guests and saying, "This is the season to celebrate miracles." He also stated, "Every year we celebrate his birth because the story of Jesus Christ changed the world. For me and for millions of Americans, the story has filled our hearts and inspired our lives."

"Those are values that are shared by all faiths," the 50-year-old additionally gushed. "So tonight let us all rededicate ourselves to each other, and in that spirit, from my family to yours: Happy holidays, Merry Christmas, God bless you all, and God bless the United States of America."
