AceShowbiz - Meghan Trainor is joyfully embracing her new role as a mother of three. The talented singer, known for her hit "All About That Bass," recently announced that she and her husband, Daryl Sabara, welcomed a baby girl through a surrogate on January 18.
In a heartfelt Instagram post shared on January 20, the couple expressed their excitement, stating, "Our baby girl Mikey Moon Trainor has finally made it to the world thanks to our incredible, superwoman surrogate. We are over the moon in love with this precious girl."
Since tying the knot in 2018, Meghan and Daryl have expanded their family with their two sons, Riley, 4, and Barry, 2. The couple expressed gratitude towards the medical professionals who played a pivotal role in the safe arrival of their third child.
"We are forever grateful to all the doctors, nurses, and teams who made this dream possible," they shared. "We had endless conversations with our doctors during this journey, and this was the safest way for us to continue growing our family."
The excitement extends beyond just the parents; their sons are thrilled to welcome their new sister. "Riley and Barry have been so excited; they even got to choose her middle name," they added. "We are going to enjoy our family time now, love you all."
At 32, Meghan has openly discussed her aspirations of having a family of four and her experiences as a mother. In a 2025 interview with Today, she mentioned, "I get asked in every single interview, 'You just do it all! You tour, you have your whole career, you have the perfect family, an amazing life, and you always seem happy. How do you do it?!'" Her response? 'Therapy, my antidepressants, and my entire team.'
While she enjoys motherhood, Meghan has also faced challenges, especially during her pregnancies. She revealed that her therapist diagnosed her with post-traumatic stress disorder after a traumatic birth experience in 2021 when Riley "didn't wake up," necessitating hospitalization in the neonatal intensive care unit. This experience prompted her to reconsider her approach for baby No. 2 in 2023.
"Being a parent isn't easy—especially not today," she reflected. "And yet, being a mom is my favorite thing in the world. Parents just need more support. I want four kids, and I don't know how I'm going to do it, but I know that's what my heart really wants, so I'm going to figure it out with my team of soldiers and angels around me. We will find a way."
Meghan Trainor credits her support system for her ability to navigate her challenges. "I am blessed to be in this situation," she said. "I have an incredible nanny who's here Monday through Friday. My mother lives down the street from me and is always there for me. My husband is also so supportive. My managers and my team are my family—they’re at my house all the time, making sure my schedule is kids-first, then work. And I have incredible doctors."
