AceShowbiz - Grammy-winning artist Meghan Trainor has shared her transformative journey, shedding light on her weight loss following her second pregnancy. The 31-year-old mom of two gets honest on how she slimmed down.
She has unapologetically acknowledged her use of Mounjaro, a semaglutide injectable traditionally prescribed for type 2 diabetes, to aid her weight loss journey. In an Instagram post, she gave a special shoutout to Mounjaro for its role in her transformation.
The "All About That Bass" hitmaker relied on "science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!)" to achieve her weight goal. "I'm so glad I did because I feel great," she gushed.
Despite the positive changes in her physical health, Trainor was rather disappointed in the media's focus on her appearance rather than her music and accomplishments. She lamented, "It's a little disheartening that so many of the questions (and comments) were focused on my body instead of my music, my passion, or the decade of hard work that got me here."
Trainor elaborated on her journey, noting the efforts she has made to achieve this transformation. These included working with a dietician, making significant lifestyle changes, and engaging in regular training sessions.
"No, I don't look like I did 10 years ago. I've been on a journey to be the healthiest, strongest version of myself for my kids and for me," Trainor wrote.
Trainor, who developed gestational diabetes after giving birth to her sons Riley, 4, and Barry, 21 months, with husband Daryl Sabara, emphasized the importance of prioritizing one's health.
The "Mother" singer also delved into her new approach to fitness, admitting that she had been working out incorrectly for years. "I was running and doing cardio, and my body was inflamed, always," she revealed, highlighting the importance of proper guidance and education in her fitness journey.
Trainor also touched upon her effort to combat ageing. She embraced biohacking to slow the aging process, experimenting with various supplements and therapies.
At the Billboard Women in Music event, where she was honored with a Hitmaker trophy, Trainor urged women to be kinder to themselves. "Go easy on yourself, be kinder to yourself or try. If you're not there yet, start, start doing that because you have to rewire your brain," she advised, sharing her own experiences with therapy and self-love.
Ultimately, Meghan Trainor's message is one of empowerment and self-care. With a focus on talent, growth, and the power of prioritizing oneself, Trainor's journey serves as an inspiration for many navigating similar paths.
