AceShowbiz - Meghan Trainor is not the only person in her family who took weight-loss drugs. Her husband, "Spy Kids" actor Daryl Sabara, also embarked on the same route in order to slim down.
The couple wasn't shy away from discussing their weight-loss journey on their "Working On It" podcast, and admitted to taking Mounjaro, an FDA-approved medication originally intended for type 2 diabetes, together.
"We did 75 Hard after our son Riley was born and, man, did we crush," said Sabara. Their decision to explore weight loss drugs came after observing friends and even their doctors successfully using Mounjaro and Ozempic. "I did the research, and I felt safe," Trainor remarked, expressing confidence in the medication.
The couple claimed they're on the lowest dose of the drug, combining it with workout sessions and balanced meals. "We were like, 'We have to make sure we don't lose muscle, that we worked so hard gaining all those years,' " Trainor explained.
The meticulous balance in their fitness and nutrition routine ensured they achieved their goals without losing muscle mass, "And we just noticed that we were less hungry."
Trainor has been very open about her journey on social media, addressing public speculation following her recent win at Billboard's 2025 Women in Music. "I've been on a journey to be the healthiest, strongest version of myself for my kids and for me," she wrote on Instagram.
Highlighting her multi-faceted approach to health, the singer mentioned working with a dietician, exercising with a trainer, and giving a nod to Mounjaro for helping her after her second pregnancy.
With sons Riley, 4, and Barry, 1, Trainor credits science for her slimmer, healthier physique. "Science is the secret. I love it," she revealed. "I learned a lot of tricks that I had no idea [about]," she added, noting how she used to workout incorrectly.
