AceShowbiz - Shortly after Bravo revealed that season 12 of "Vanderpump Rules" would feature a brand new cast, the original stars had mixed emotions and plenty to say. Ariana Madix, Lala Kent and Katie Maloney were among those who shared their heartfelt reflections on social media, marking the end of an iconic era in reality TV.
Ariana Madix, who joined "Vanderpump Rules" in season 2, expressed her gratitude and nostalgia in a touching Instagram post. "Vanderpump Rules, you will forever be that girl," she wrote alongside a series of throwback photos. "I was up til 4am looking for all the right pics and the right words, but there's no post or caption that could ever encapsulate everything." She thanked Bravo, Lisa Vanderpump and the fans who stood by her through ups and downs, noting she was "forever grateful to have been a part of such an incredible cultural phenomenon."
Lala Kent, who made her debut in season 4, also took to Instagram to reflect on her journey from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles, where she found a home in SUR, one of Lisa Vanderpump's restaurants. "Sur was a place that became home... it still to this day is the most intimidating job I’ve ever had," she wrote. Just like Madix, Kent had "mixed feelings" about the shakeup but expressed immense gratitude toward the fans who "rocked with us for so many years."
Katie Maloney, who joined the series in 2013, called her journey on "Vanderpump Rules" a "mixed bag," but she wouldn't change a thing. "Thank you for the memories and the love the last 11 years," she shared on Instagram.
The reboot news is not entirely surprising considering the explosive events leading up to it. The infamous "Scandoval" involving Tom Sandoval's affair with Raquel Leviss added significant drama to the last two seasons, culminating in a series of events that hinted the show might be heading toward a major transformation.
Lisa Vanderpump acknowledged this major milestone, thanking her cast for sharing their lives over the years. "What a wild ride the last 11 years have been. Thank you to all of our cast for sharing your lives and stories and for being a part of this journey," she expressed on Instagram.
Meanwhile, Bravo has promised that the new season will bring just as much drama and excitement with a fresh set of servers, hosts and bartenders working under Vanderpump's watchful eye. They are also planning a retrospective special highlighting the heartbreaks, friendship rifts, and scandals that shaped the past 11 seasons.
