The Bad Boy Records founder is reportedly adamant that the telling footage 'doesn't tell the full story about what happened' despite his recent apology in a video.

AceShowbiz - Sean "P. Diddy" Combs might look reflective in his recent apology video, but deep inside he is reportedly fuming over the leak of Cassie assault video. The embattled hip-hop mogul is reportedly "incensed" that the telling footage went viral last week.

"He's incensed," an alleged member of his inner circle tells The Post. "Especially about the video. He insists it doesn't tell the full story about what happened. Not that he's excusing it, but he says that it's a selected video."

The 54-year-old reportedly believes that there's a major agenda behind the release of the video and that it's just "a distraction." The insider reveals, "It's his position that there was an agenda in releasing the video when it was released. But ultimately, he knows that his big concern is the raids on his house; the Cassie video is just a distraction."

The video captured Diddy assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie at a hotel in 2016. In the footage which was first revealed by CNN earlier this month, he could be seen kicking, grabbing, dragging and appearing to throw a vase at the singer as she tried to escape from a Los Angeles hotel.

Diddy quickly addressed the video, saying in a clip posted on his Instagram page without mentioning Cassie, "It's so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that. I was f**ked up. I hit rock bottom - but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable." He added, "I take full responsibility for my actions in that video, I'm disgusted."

Many were not convinced by his apology, with Cassie's lawyer Meredith Firetog saying, "Combs' most recent statement is more about himself than the many people he has hurt." She further stated, "That he was only compelled to 'apologize' once his repeated denials were proven false shows his pathetic desperation, and no one will be swayed by his disingenuous words."

Cassie later broke her silence after the video release. "The outpouring of love has created a place for my younger self to settle and feel safe now, but this is only the beginning," she wrote on Instagram on Thursday, May 23. "Domestic Violence is THE issue. It broke me down to someone I never thought I would become. With a lot of hard work, I am better today, but I will always be recovering from my past."

Diddy has settled Cassie's lawsuit, but he still faces multiple lawsuits alleging him of drugging and sexually assaulting other women. He is also under investigation for alleged sex trafficking. The rapper has reportedly put together a legal dream team as he prepares for a possible RICO indictment "any day now."
