In an update shared via its Facebook page, the Bryson City Police Department announces that Gary Wayt has been located after a multi-day search since he was last seen nearly a week ago.

AceShowbiz - Amber Portwood's fiance Gary Wayt has been located days after he was reported missing. On Friday, June 14, the Bryson City Police Department shared an update on the search into the disappearance of the 39-year-old.

"GARY WAYT HAS BEEN LOCATED," read the update posted on the BCPD's Facebook page. It added, "No further information available at this time. Case is Closed."

According to TMZ, Gary made a call to the department from a restricted number on Friday afternoon. He assured them he was perfectly fine and in good health. Police reportedly grilled him with some very specific questions to make sure that he was indeed okay before they closed the missing person case.

Amber has not publicly revealed if Gary has personally reached out to her.

Gary was last seen on Sunday, June 9, around 6 P.M. at a local hotel in Bryson City, just a few days after getting engaged to the former "Teen Mom" star. According to the police report, he was driving a gray 2009 Nissan Rogue with Indiana state registration plates. He's described as standing 6-foot-1, weighing 205 pounds, with brown eyes and a bald head.

In a Tuesday, June 11 YouTube livestream on Elle Bee's page, Amber pleaded for help to find her fiance. "No, guys, please listen to me. He is missing. This is a huge deal. His parents, everybody is worried. I'm worried," she lamented. While she said they did have an "emotional" discussion before she last saw him, "there was not a big blowout fight or anything like that, OK? He is a missing person right now."

On Thursday, it was reported that Gary was spotted in Weatherford, Oklahoma, hundreds of miles from where he was last seen with the TV personality in North Carolina. Police obtained footage of Gary driving on a highway in the Sooner State and got confirmation that he stopped at a Verizon store.
