Days after deleting a post condemning Israel on her Instagram account, the supermodel is photographed looking stern during a sighting at JFK in New York City.

AceShowbiz - Gigi Hadid was seen looking stern in the first sighting after she made headlines for her controversial Instagram post. Days after deleting a post condemning Israel, the supermodel was pictured in New York City on Friday, December 1.

In some pictures circulating online, Gigi was seen wheeling her luggage through JFK airport. The mom of one opted for an oversized leather jacket that she paired with a gray undershirt and black straight-legged pants for the outing. Completing her style, Gigi wore a matching belt, orange-tinted shades and gray sneakers.

Gigi's sighting came after she deleted a post accusing Israel of the "abduction, rape, humiliation, torture [and] murder of Palestinians years and years and years before Oct 7 2023." The said post included photos of Ahmed Manasra, a Palestinian who was convicted on two counts of attempted murder in relation to stabbings at a Jewish settlement in 2015.

Following the backlash, the sister of Bella Hadid issued an apology for not doing "fact check" before posting. "As someone of Palestinian descent, the endless heartbreaking news and imagery coming out of Gaza has been painful and often overwhelming," she wrote on Instagram last month.

She continued, "It is important to me to share the real stories about the hardships that Palestinians have endured and continue to endure, but this weekend I shared something that I did not fact check or deeply think about prior to posting."

Gigi, who has been a vocal supporter for Palestine, elaborated that her accidental sharing of misinformation was an attempt to "show the ways in which international law is being undermined by the Israeli government."

She noted, "In this case, I was trying to highlight how Palestinian children who are arrested by the [Israel Defense Forces] are often not given the same rights as an Israel child accused of the same crime would," before sharing that she felt regretful for using the "wrong example."

"My focus was intended to be on human rights issues. That is why I also want to reiterate that attacking any human, which of course includes Jewish people, is NEVER OK. Taking innocent people hostage is NEVER OK. Harming someone BECAUSE they are Jewish is NEVER OK. It is wrong," the catwalk beauty went on stressing. "To want freedom and humane treatment for Palestinians and to also want safety for Jewish people can both be important to the same person - including myself."
