AceShowbiz - Gigi Hadid has spoken out after her and her sister Bella Hadid were referenced in newly released emails connected to Jeffrey Epstein. The 2015 correspondence was made public by the U.S. Department of Justice as part of ongoing investigations.
In one email, an unnamed individual asked Epstein how the Hadid sisters had "become models and make so much money." Epstein’s response was brief, replying "You know." The person then implied their father might have "paid the agency," to which Epstein responded, "No," adding, "Because they follow directions, it's that simple."
This exchange quickly drew negative reactions online, with some social media users criticizing Gigi Hadid for not immediately addressing the comments. The model, 30, later responded through a now-deleted Instagram comment.
"Horrible to read someone you've never met speak about you that way. Especially in this context," Gigi wrote. She also described being named in the files as "disturbing."
Gigi Hadid firmly denied any connection to Epstein, stating, "I want to state unequivocally that I have never had any affiliation with that disgusting human being."
Gigi and Bella Hadid are daughters of Mohamed Hadid, a real estate developer, and Yolanda Hadid, a former model and former cast member on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Gigi signed with IMG Models in 2012 and has since established herself as a leading figure in fashion, walking for top brands including Versace, Chanel, and Ralph Lauren. Bella followed in her footsteps, building a successful modeling career of her own.
