AceShowbiz - The 2023 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards has announced its complete list of winners. Taking place on Saturday, March 4 and hosted by Nate Burleson and TikTok star Charli D'Amelio, the award-giving event celebrated biggest stars in TV, movie and music departments.
In the TV department, Netflix's hit series "Wednesday" was named as Favorite Family TV Show, edging out "Stranger Things", "Obi-Wan Kenobi", "Young Sheldon" and "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law" among others. Meanwhile, "MasterChef Junior" took home the prize for Favorite Reality Show, with "SpongeBob SquarePants" winning Favoritte Animated Show.
Also among winners were Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett, who were presented with Favorite Female and Male TV Star (Kids) trophies respectively for their work on "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series". Meanwhile, "Wednesday" actress Jenna Ortega and "Stranger Things" star Finn Wolfhard won Favorite Female and Male TV Star (Family) respectively.
As for the film categories, "Sonic the Hedgehog 2" nabbed one of the biggest prizes, Favorite Movie. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson earned two victories as he won Favorite Movie Actor for "Black Adam" and Favorite Voice From an Animated Movie (Male) for "DC League of Super-Pets".
Other winners in the department were Selena Gomez and Millie Bobby Brown. Selena's "Hotel Transylvania: Transformania" character Mavis earned the former Disney star a win on Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie (Female) category. As for Millie, she took home Favorite Movie Actress trophy, thanks to her performance in "Enola Holmes 2".
That night also saw Harry Styles becoming the biggest winner in the music department. The former One Direction singer snagged three wins, including Favorite Male Artist, Favorite Song for "As It Was" and Favorite Global Music Star. Taylor Swift was honored with Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Album for "Midnights".
BTS (Bangtan Boys), meanwhile, was named as the favorite group of the year. Dove Cameron was presented with Favorite Breakout Artist, while Megan Thee Stallion and Dua Lipa's "Sweetest Pie" earned them a win on Favorite Music Collaboration category.
Host Charli was also among the honorees as she won Favorite Female Creator with MrBeast being the winner in the male counterpart. Serena Williams and LeBron James were chosen as Favorite Female Sports Star and Favorite Male Sports Star respectively.
