The 'Congratulations' hitmaker receives a total of seven nods while the 'bad guy' crooner and the '7 rings' singer follow closely with six nominations at this year's American Music Awards.

AceShowbiz - The nominees of the upcoming 47th annual American Music Awards have been officially announced. Some of the names were unveiled during live television on ABC's breakfast show "Good Morning America" and the rest were revealed on social media.

Post Malone is leading the pack with the most nods, raking in a total of seven nominations. Both Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande are trailing closely behind the "Congratulations" hitmaker with six nods each. The likes of Lady GaGa, Bangtan Boys, and Drake also receive multiple nominations.

Malone and Grande are vying for Artist of the Year which also includes top stars Halsey and Taylor Swift in the stiff competition. Meanwhile, Eilish is up for New Artist of the Year, facing off other rising stars like Luke Combs, Lil Nas X, Lizzo, and Ella Mai.

Malone and Swae Lee duet called "Sunflower" for "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" theme song is in the running for Collaboration of the Year. It is pitted against "Shallow" by GaGa and Bradley Cooper, "Old Town Road" by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus, "Happier" by Marshmello and Bastille, as well as "Senorita" by Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello.

The winners will be crowned during a live telecast taking place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on November 24. The late Avicii receives a nomination for Favorite EDM Artist. Meanwhile, Swift will have a chance to make history as she could break the record for most AMA wins of all time. Michael Jackson currently holds the record with 24 wins while the "Lover" singer has already collected a total of 23 AMA trophies.
