AceShowbiz - The singers in "The Voice" season 16 were narrowed down from 13 to 8 in the Tuesday, May 7 episode. The Top 13 learned the results of last night's Fan Week as host Carson Daly announced who would be moving to the next round.

The first artist who was announced to be safe was Maelyn Jarmon from Team John Legend. Dexter Roberts from Team Blake Shelton joined her in the Top 8. Before announcing more results, Team John took the stage to perform a rendition of Aretha Franklin's "Say a Little Prayer".

Later, Gyth Rigdon (Team Blake) was named the next singer to move forward alongside Rod Stokes from Team Kelly Clarkson and Shawn Sounds from Team John. Only three spots left and Adam Levine still had none of his two artists securing one safe spot.

Carson then announced that Carter Lloyd Horne and Andrew Sevener from Team Blake joined others in Top 8, meaning that Blake's artists made half of the Top 8 so far. Prior to the revelation of more results, he and his six team members hit the stage to offer a fun, upbeat performance of George Harrison's "Got My Mind Set on You".

LB Crew (Team Adam), Mari (Team Adam) and Kim Cherry (Team Blake) were among three singers who would fight for a final spot in the Semifinals. With that, Team Blake's Oliv Blu, Team Kelly's Jej Vinson and Team John's Celia Babini were eliminated.

LB opted to sing Khalid's "Better" for his Instant Save performance, while Mari hoped her performance of "Latch" by Sam Smith would earn her a spot in the Top 8. As for Kim Cherry, she sang En Vogue's "My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It)".

Eventually, it was Kim Cherry who got to take the last spot in the Top 8. This meant that Adam had no artists left to compete in the semifinals.
