From meeting their ends by getting beheaded to being burned alive, here are the most gruesome deaths which queasy viewers of the hit HBO series find hard to watch.

Ned Stark
HBO

Gone too soon! In the early episodes of season 1, Ned Stark (Sean Bean) was appointed as the Hand of the King to King Robert Baratheon. Fans might think that the Lord of Winterfell would go powerful in King's Landing, that until the throne fell to Robert and Cersei Lannister's (Lena Headey) eldest son Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson).

He was falsely accused of treason after trying to arrest Cersei and her children for murdering Robert. He did confess to the treason. However, that was only because Varys told him that if he confessed and ordered Robb Stark to stand down, he would be spared and sent to the Night's Watch and Sansa's safety was guaranteed. However, with Joffrey being the King, that was not the case. Ned was beheaded in public, and the young king even made sure that Sansa witness his dad's death.
