AceShowbiz - Transgender model Nikita Dragun is not going to let Victoria's Secret make trans people small. The YouTuber makes sure that women can be their own angel in an epic clapback at the brand following controversial comments made by parent company L-Brand’s chief marketing officer Ed Razek.
Nikita took to her Instagram account to prove that anyone can be a "fantasy." She created her own Fantasy Bra commercial, much to everyone's liking. The video saw her walking down the stairs in a crystal-embellished white lingerie while sporting an oversized angel wings.
Set to a classic music, Nikita flaunted her amazing figure in the short clip. "Dear Victoria's Secret, you said trans women can't sell the 'fantasy' so here I am as a TRANS WOMAN selling the FANTASY!" so Nikita wrote in the caption on December 5. "Everyone is beautifully unique. Embrace your differences. Stand tall in who you are! Live your fantasy and don't let anyone tell you otherwise."
The raven beauty later shared a photo from the commercial set while writing, "Nikita's Secret. thank u everyone for ur love and support. i would've never imagined this kind of response."
She, however, noted that this wasn't by any mean "a hate campaign." She explained, "But instead PROOF that ANY woman (trans or not) is a fantasy! be ur own angel."
The posts were her response to Razek's statement that didn't sit well with most people especially LGBTQ+ community. "Shouldn't you have transsexuals in the show? No. No, I don't think we should," he told Vogue. "Well, why not? Because the show is a fantasy. It's a 42-minute entertainment special. That's what it is."
Halsey, who performed at this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, was one of the people who criticized the comments. Taking to Instagram, the "Bad at Love" hitmaker wrote, "As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I have no tolerance for a lack of inclusivity. ... If you are a trans person reading this, and these comments have made you feel alienated or invalidated please know that you have allies."
