From the universe of the Jerry Bruckheimer/Michael Bay "Bad Boys" franchise, "L.A.'s Finest" follows Syd Burnett (Gabrielle Union), last seen in Miami taking down a drug cartel, who has seemingly left her complicated past behind to become an LAPD detective.
