AceShowbiz - The co-creators of Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba's new police drama series "L.A.'s Finest" have been identified as the two people injured on set in a stunt-gone-wrong.
Production on the TV show was shut down on Thursday, February 21 when an action scene involving a car crashing into a cargo crate went awry, and the vehicle careened into an area set up for producers and directors to monitor filming on the San Pedro, California set.
Police confirmed two people had been hospitalised in the incident, and now the victims have been named as Brandon Margolis and Brandon Sonnier. Margolis was later discharged after receiving treatment, while Sonnier remains under doctors' care at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, reports Deadline.com.
Network bosses at Spectrum, which will air the series later this year, issued a statement addressing the accident.
"We are saddened by this incident and send our most heartfelt wishes to our two beloved crew members, hoping their recovery is both swift and complete," said representative Katherine Pope.
Meanwhile, production chiefs at Sony Pictures Television (SPT) have also commented on the turn of events, stating, "Our hearts go out to our SPT family members who were injured and we pray for a full recovery."
Filming scheduled for Friday was also cancelled as a result of the mishap, which is currently under investigation by officials at the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
It's not yet clear when production will resume.
"L.A.'s Finest" is an offshoot of the "Bad Boys" movie franchise, starring Gabrielle as her "Bad Boys 2" character Syd Burnett, fighting crime in Los Angeles with Jessica as her single-mother sidekick.
