AceShowbiz - Ringo Starr’s newest studio album, Long Long Road, has made an impressive debut on multiple Billboard album charts dated May 9. The record entered the Top Album Sales chart at No. 9, marking his second time reaching the top 10 on this particular chart since its inception in 1991. His previous album, Look Up, also achieved top 10 status last year.
In addition to its strong showing on the Top Album Sales chart, Long Long Road landed at No. 11 on the Indie Store Album Sales chart, No. 15 on both the Americana/Folk Albums and Vinyl Albums charts, and reached No. 40 on the Top Country Albums chart. This marks Starr’s third album to chart within the top 40 on the Top Country Albums rankings, following Look Up (No. 27 in 2025) and Beaucoup of Blues (No. 35 in 1970).
This release is the 22nd solo album from Ringo Starr and his second project co-written and produced by T Bone Burnett, who also worked on last year’s Look Up. Long Long Road features collaborations with acclaimed artists such as Sheryl Crow, Sarah Jarosz, Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle, and St. Vincent, adding a diverse range of influences to the album’s sound.
To support the album, Starr will embark on a brief tour with his All Starr Band, beginning May 28 in Temecula, California, and concluding June 14 at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. The tour will include a dozen dates, showcasing songs from his extensive solo catalog alongside new material from Long Long Road.
The Top Album Sales chart is particularly competitive this week, featuring seven debuts and reentries in the top 10. Noah Kahan tops the chart with his album The Great Divide, achieving his first No. 1. Other notable debuts include Kehlani at No. 2 with her self-titled album and Foo Fighters entering at No. 3 with Your Favorite Toy. Meanwhile, BTS’ former No. 1 ARIRANG slipped to No. 4, and Jason Aldean debuted at No. 5 with Songs About Us.
Other chart movements include TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s 7TH YEAR: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns dropping to No. 6 in its second week. The Michael Jackson soundtrack surged from No. 48 to No. 7 following the release of his biopic in theaters, while the soundtrack itself debuted at No. 8. Additionally, Noah Kahan’s Stick Season reentered the top 10 at No. 10, illustrating a busy and dynamic week on the Billboard charts.
