Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band have been forced to cancel their remaining tour dates as doctors advised him to take a much-needed rest because of an illness.

AceShowbiz - Legendary The Beatles drummer Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band have hit an unexpected roadblock. The 84-year-old music icon has been stricken with a cold, compelling him to cancel the last two shows of his fall tour.
The tour was set to wrap up with performances at the TD Pavilion at The Mann in Philadelphia on September 24, and in New York's famed Radio City Music Hall on September 25. However, after consulting with a doctor, Starr was advised to cancel these remaining shows and prioritize rest.
"Ringo has come down with a cold and after consulting a doctor he was advised to cancel these two remaining shows and get rest," explains a statement released by Starr's representative.
Fans who had been looking forward to these final concerts are now being encouraged to contact their ticket point of purchase for refunds. "As always, Ringo and the All Starrs send peace and love to their fans and hope to see them soon," the statement further emphasizes.
This fall leg of the tour began on September 7 in San Diego, marking a joyful return to the stage for the beloved musician, who, despite his years, continues to demonstrate an undeniable zest for performing.
"We love it. I know the audience loves me. And I love them," Starr shared with Billboard in an earlier interview. "And the band has only one rule: We're not there to be miserable. And I'll support you to the best of my ability and I expect the same from you. We do it for each other."
Starr's latest musical offering, a four-track EP titled "Rewind Forward", was dropped back in October 2023. Reflecting on the project, Starr noted, "It's all about going forward. It's just the fact that sometimes we all get stuck and have to fight your way out. Oh, I've been stuck many times!"
As of now, there are no plans for additional shows in 2024, creating a pause in what has been a tireless tour schedule for the All Starr Band. Fans hope that this is just a temporary setback and anticipate a triumphant return to the stage in the future.
