AceShowbiz - The iconic British band Oasis will unveil a live recording of their 1998 hit "Acquiesce" from Wembley Stadium, as part of the upcoming charity album HELP(2). This release will be their first physical record since the commencement of the Oasis Live '25 comeback tour.
During the 2025 tour, Oasis regularly featured "Acquiesce" early in their setlists, often as the second track performed to packed stadium crowds. The live version included on HELP(2) was recorded on September 28, the final night of a seven-show residency at Wembley Stadium the previous year.
This marks a significant moment as it is the first live recording and physical release by Oasis following their reunion tour launch. Notably, the band also contributed to the original HELP charity album in 1995 with their track "Fade Away," which appeared alongside artists such as Sinéad O'Connor, Blur, and Massive Attack.
Longtime record executive Rich Clarke highlighted the impact of the original HELP album, explaining to Rolling Stone that it enabled War Child UK to expand its humanitarian efforts. Initially focused on delivering supplies to conflict zones like Sarajevo, the charity scaled up thanks to the funding generated by the album. Clarke expressed hope that the new HELP(2) album would continue to support children affected by war for decades to come.
Alongside Oasis, the HELP(2) lineup features a diverse array of artists including Olivia Rodrigo, Cameron Winter, Wet Leg, Sampha, Arlo Parks, Depeche Mode, and Big Thief, among others. The album aims to raise funds for War Child UK, an organization dedicated to aiding children impacted by global conflicts.
Preceding the release of "Acquiesce - Live," HELP(2) has already issued singles such as "Begging for Change" by Pulp, "Opening Night" by Arctic Monkeys, "Flags" by Damon Albarn with Grian Chatten and Kae Tempest, and "Let's Do It Again!" by the Last Dinner Party. The entire project is produced by James Ford and will be distributed through War Child Records.
Clarke emphasized the lasting significance of the music rights associated with HELP(2), stating that they will provide ongoing support for children affected by conflict indefinitely. He described the music as a legacy that is expected to endure and benefit charitable efforts for the next 30 years.
