'Boy Meets World' star Danielle Fishel announces the completion of her cancer treatment and shares the ongoing struggles with side effects she's facing in her recovery journey.

AceShowbiz - American actress Danielle Fishel, famous for her role in "Boy Meets World", has shared a poignant update on her cancer journey. She announced the completion of her active cancer treatment, yet detailed the painful aftereffects that linger.

"I just wanted to give everyone an update because I've kept you guys all abreast," Fishel, 43, quipped on the January 13 episode of her "Pod Meets World" podcast.

During the podcast, which Danielle co-hosts with her "Boy Meets World" costars Rider Strong and Will Friedle, she announced, "I am officially done with radiation," prompting cheers from her co-hosts.

However, she noted that she is still grappling with the aftermath of the treatment after finishing numerous rounds of radiations. She specifed that the targeted radiation aimed at the precise area of her cancer was meant to minimize recurrence chances.

The side effects, however, have been challenging. "I have a very bad sunburn. I also have a rash on top of the sunburn, which is just great," she added sarcastically. Describing the pain, Danielle shared, "It hurts to wear a bra, hurts to not wear a bra. It hurts to sleep on my side, hurts to sleep, period. Hurts to be awake."

Despite expressing severe discomfort, Danielle remains optimistic. "You know what? It's not gonna last forever. Physically, every day now, I'm supposed to be getting better."

Fishel mentioned she has been dealing with fatigue and noted radiation's cumulative effects. Her doctors said she would begin feeling relief "in two to three months," advising her to work out and hydrate to accelerate the recovery.

"I did start working out. I worked out yesterday. I'm gonna work out again on Friday because he said all the working out and drinking water helps my body get rid of all the damage that the radiation did," she shared. Additionally, Danielle will commence hormone therapy with Tamoxifen once she recovers from radiation side effects.

Although her journey is far from over, Danielle's transparency invites support and offers hope to those navigating similar paths. Her candidness about both the physical and emotional tolls of treatment serves as a powerful reminder of the resilience required in the face of illness.
