AceShowbiz - In the aftermath of losing their home to the raging wildfires, Spencer Pratt and his wife, Heidi Montag, reached out to fans for support by asking them to stream Montag's 2010 album, "Superficial." The move aimed to generate income for the former "Hills" stars as they begin to rebuild their lives.
Pratt's plea resonated with many, including stars like Flavor Flav and Emily Ratajkowski, who joined fans in streaming the album and creating TikTok videos featuring Montag's songs. The outpouring of support propelled "Superficial" to the No. 1 spot on iTunes, surpassing Bad Bunny's latest release.
Overwhelmed by the response, Pratt and Montag expressed their gratitude on social media. "No. 1 on iTunes chart! Thank you for the overwhelming love and support," Montag shared on her Instagram Story.
In addition to streaming Montag's music, Pratt also encouraged his TikTok followers to engage with his videos, highlighting how the platform could provide additional financial support. He explained that he could earn up to $1,100 from TikTok if one of his videos with Montag's music became one of the top ten most-liked TikToks.
Celebrities who have also lost homes in the wildfires, such as Paris Hilton and Jhene Aiko, expressed their support for Pratt and Montag. Hilton commented, "🥳Congrats @heidimontag 👏," while Aiko added, "Love this!!!!!!! 🫂💙🥰 @heidimontag !!!"
Amid the devastating circumstances, Pratt and Montag have remained positive and focused on gratitude. Montag thanked fans for "rallying behind us in this devastating time and making it such a blessing."
While the couple has no qualms about asking for help, they have also urged fans to choose other ways to support them instead of watching "The Hills." Pratt stated, "Pretty much I'd rather you watch anything in the world but The Hills. Do not give that show a single dollar, or that narrator a single brain cell listening to her voice."
