AceShowbiz - Reality TV star Kristin Cavallari doubled down on her criticisms of the Kardashian family and Kourtney's former boyfriend Scott Disick. Discussing her fallout with Kourtney Kardashian, she pointed fingers at Scott for the dramatic end to their friendship.
During her appearance on Bunnie XO's "Dumb Blonde" podcast, Cavallari candidly recounted the events that unfolded over a decade ago, leading her to label the Kardashian clan as "fake" and "calculated."
Reflecting on her early 20s, when she first met Kourtney through her mutual connection with Scott Disick, Cavallari expressed genuine affection for her then-friend. "Scott and Kourtney started dating, that's how I met Kourtney. I f***ing loved Kourtney," she remarked.
However, their friendship took a dramatic turn during a trip to Las Vegas in 2011 when tabloids falsely reported that Cavallari and Disick had hooked up.
"We all went out, we had a good time, I was never even alone with Scott," Cavallari explained. The next morning, news outlets claimed otherwise, which Cavallari believes was Disick's attempt to make Kourtney jealous.
Despite her efforts to assure Kourtney of her innocence, Kourtney's trust was shattered."“She was like, 'Well, I don't know. I just know I have sisters and I would never put myself in that situation,' " Cavallari recalled.
What hurt Cavallari most was not just the baseless rumors but Disick's lack of defense. "Scott must have said it was true or something, because all it would have taken was for Scott to be like, 'That's not true,' " she said. This incident, according to Cavallari, exemplifies the Kardashian family's "calculated" nature.
The drama reignited when Disick recently reached out to Cavallari via Instagram DM, years after their last interaction. Expressing her disbelief, she noted, "It just felt so calculated to me. And this is what the Kardashians and a lot of people in Hollywood do … when you're out there talking s***, they want to shut you up. So, it's keep your friends close and your enemies closer. And I don't play that game. It's so fake to me."
Despite these events, Cavallari maintained she doesn't harbor long-term resentment, quipping, "I don't really give a f***" about the decade-old drama. Yet, the saga underscores the fragility of trust and the complexities of relationships in the realm of reality TV and celebrity culture.
