Nearly three decades after the original film was released in 1997, the new installment of the "I Know What You Did Last Summer" franchise serves as a direct sequel to "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" (1998).
Giving new life into the franchise with young actors, the reboot still brings back original stars Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. After joking about hoping to come back "as the ghost of '90s past," Hewitt said that her return is "for a reason" and to "play a real part."
