AceShowbiz - It's Michael Jackson's time to shine in theaters. Twenty-five years after his untimely passing at the age of 50, the King of Pop is getting the biopic treatment from acclaimed filmmaker Antoine Fuqua. The director did not need to look further to cast the main actor, with the late singer's nephew Jaafar Jackson landing the lead role. Proving that it's not mere nepotism, Jaafar already shows a convincing depiction of his late uncle in behind-the-scenes pictures and videos.
Supporting the cast are the likes of Colman Domingo, Nia Long and Miles Teller. While highlighting the legacy of the "Billy Jean" hitmaker, "Michael" doesn't shy away from his scandal, with producer Graham King saying that he wanted to "humanize but not sanitize and present the most compelling, unbiased story."
