AceShowbiz - Kylie Jenner has proudly returned to her pre-baby weight and is addressing the rampant online speculation that she used weight-loss drugs, such as Ozempic, to achieve this milestone. In her recent interview with British Vogue, the 27-year-old reality star and makeup mogul clarified that she did not use any such drugs, responding directly to rumors fueled by public comments and even lyrics from her ex, rapper Travis Scott (II).
She credited hitting the gym for her weight loss. "I felt in shape and it was working out," she recalled her fitness regime after delivering daughter Stormi in 2018. "And then I got pregnant and did it all over again. I feel like people didn't give me, or give women in general, enough empathy. I see pictures [online] and people are accusing me of being on drugs or something..."
"I'm back at my weight I was before I had my daughter and son and people are putting side by sides of me three months postpartum," Jenner shared. She has two children - Stormi, 6, and Aire, 2 - with Scott, and she opened up about the physical and emotional demands of her pregnancies. "I was 200 pounds when I gave birth to my 9-pound babies: 8.3 and 8.9," she said, emphasizing the natural fluctuations in her weight due to pregnancy.
Jenner also discussed the broader issue of postpartum empathy, or the lack thereof. "Does everyone forget that I had two children and I gained 60 pounds both pregnancies?" she asked, noting that she hasn't been shown enough empathy since giving birth.
"Mentally, it's really hard. Hormonally, it's really hard," she added, revealing that postpartum depression had been part of her journey, with it lasting up to a year after each pregnancy. "I'm going to be 27, and I'm finally feeling like myself again," she said.
Despite the challenges, Jenner spoke fondly about motherhood. "No matter what I'm going through or what I look like or what the internet writes about me that day, I come home and my kids just love me unconditionally," she remarked. This unconditional love from her children has been a grounding force for Jenner, helping her prioritize what truly matters in life.
Kylie's story highlights the unrealistic pressures placed on women to quickly "bounce back" after childbirth and the critical need for empathy towards mothers in their postpartum journey. Her candid reflections serve as a reminder that societal standards often overlook the profound changes and challenges that come with motherhood.
