AceShowbiz - Simone Biles, 27, is soaking up the glow of another successful Olympic campaign, where she claimed three gold medals and one silver. The Team USA gymnast had much to celebrate, and she did so in style, with an unforgettable night out in Paris following the conclusion of the Games. However, the morning after told a different tale.
"The reason I'm unwell this morning," Biles admitted via her Instagram Story on Monday, August 12, alongside a clip from the party where the crowd cheered and waved an American flag. Biles was seen dancing with her younger sister, Adria, at L'Arc Paris nightclub in the chic 16th arrondissement, celebrating Team USA's triumph at the Games.
Sharing a video of herself and her sister singing along to Waka Flocka Flame's "Grove St. Party," Biles jokingly wrote, "If you see me out at the club, pls tell me to go home. For my own sake & health in the AM."
It seems the festivities involved a lot of champagne, as another clip showed a table at their club - completely adorned with bottles and sparklers, alongside American flags.
The Paris 2024 Olympics were a stellar success for Biles, who captured gold in the women's artistic individual all-around, women's vault, and team all-around events. She added a silver medal to her tally in the floor exercise. Despite these victories, she described competing in the beam final as particularly stressful, noting, "You try to stay in your zone."
As for what comes next, Biles played coy when asked about competing in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. "Is this my last? Definitely [my final] Yurchenko double pike," she said, referring to her vault routine. Biles left the door open for a potential return, saying, "You just never know. But I am getting really old."
Biles took to social media to address fans and media inquiries about her future, emphasizing, "You guys really gotta stop asking athletes what's next after they win a medal at the Olympics. Let us soak up the moment we've worked our whole lives for."
After an action-packed few weeks, Biles shared her latest update from a plane window, hinting at a safe return home to the United States. Though whether she will compete again remains uncertain, one thing is clear: Simone Biles has cemented her status as a gymnastics legend and continues to inspire with her achievements and candor.
