As the search for the 'Dark Horse' singer's replacement has begun, the country music star shares promising insights on who might fill her seat in the upcoming season.

AceShowbiz - After seven successful seasons, Katy Perry announced her departure from "American Idol", leaving fans wondering who could possibly replace her. Fellow judge Luke Bryan has stepped up, sharing potential names who might sit on the judge's panel next season. "I've said several names. I think Pink has been in the talks, Miley Cyrus has been in the talks, Meghan Trainor has been in the talks," Bryan told Billboard.

Bryan, along with Lionel Richie and Perry, joined "American Idol" during its season 16 reboot by ABC. He acknowledged Perry's exceptional contribution to the show and expressed that finding someone to match her skill set is a significant challenge. "Perry was really perfect for that job, and I think they're just working real hard to find somebody that can really come in and do the job that Katy did," Bryan added.

Recent interviews suggest that some of the named pop stars have shown interest, while others have reservations. Meghan Trainor described it as her "dream job," sharing on "Watch What Happens Live", "I have emailed three awesome people who work in that world who don't really have the final say. I have begged for this job ... it's my favorite show, I've watched it since I was a child." On the other hand, Pink seemed more hesitant, stating, "I don't like hurting people's feelings," during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

The decision remains in the hands of Disney and the show's producers, who have kept details tightlipped even from the show's current judges. "We currently haven't heard what the story is on who's coming back, and if Lionel and I are coming back. I think Disney is just trying to figure out what they want to do and we're just kind of sitting back and waiting until they decide," Bryan stated.

Meanwhile, Katy Perry has revealed that she will now focus on her music career, with her next single "Woman's World" slated for a July 11 release. As she transitions back to her roots in music, the "American Idol" team remains diligent in their search to find a suitable replacement who can bring the same energy and expertise to the panel.

It will undoubtedly be interesting to see who will step into the role and continue the legacy of one of America's most beloved talent shows.
