The '90210' alum denounces the baseless rumors suggesting she and her children wrecked their rental house, fiercely defending her family and their reputation.

AceShowbiz - Tori Spelling, the former star of "Beverly Hills 90210" and a mother of five, has recently taken to her podcast, "misspelling", to address a damaging rumor concerning her family. The rumor, first reported by the Daily Mail, alleged that Spelling and her children had "trashed" their temporary home after moving out due to mold issues in their previous residence.

Calling the story "totally false," Spelling expressed the emotional toll it has taken on her children. "My kids are affected. They go to school, you guys. These fake stories don't help," she said passionately.

To reinforce her defense, Spelling invited her former landlord and temporary housing manager, Katie, to join the podcast. Katie unequivocally backed Spelling's claims, stating, "I've never seen anything so ridiculous in my life. We replace furniture all the time in these properties… This is actually crazy to me that anybody would take the time to take pictures of a debris pickup from the city."

Spelling, while admitting that she may not always be the cleanest person due to her large family and pets, firmly denied ever trashing a property. "Granted, I have five kids. We have animals and I never profess to be the cleanest and most organized person. It's a messy, chaotic life. But we lead with our hearts and I would never trash somebody's property," she explained.

Addressing the broader impact of such false stories, Spelling said, "Putting out false stories is just incredibly awful and hurtful on a really deep level to people. I usually don't say anything… this one I'm like, 'This is too much.' This really pushed me as a mom."

Spelling's manager, Ruthanne Secunda, added that the Daily Mail had not reached out for fact-checking before publishing the story. "I received no communication from them," Ruthanne said, highlighting the negligence of the publication. "The paper that originated the story could not have been bothered to fact check. They are only interested in selling papers. That's really the bottom line, and it's sad."

Despite the ordeal, Spelling revealed that she and her kids have since moved into a permanent home following her split from Dean McDermott, whom she filed for divorce from in April after 18 years of marriage. According to a source, the divorce was not a surprise, with both parties having planned for it over the past few years to ensure a smooth co-parenting arrangement.

Tori Spelling's candid revelations on her podcast have shed light on the often unseen emotional repercussions of false media stories, underscoring the importance of truth and integrity in journalism.
