AceShowbiz - Tori Spelling, the well-known "Beverly Hills, 90210" actress and mother of five, has recently opened up about an unusual item she keeps in her freezer: placentas from two of her children. In the latest episode of her podcast, "misspelling", aired on June 28, the 51-year-old actress shared this intriguing tidbit, leaving fans both fascinated and somewhat puzzled.

"Unsure which child, there's two in there, so, unless I have the biggest placenta in the world, there's two vats in there," Spelling quipped. She shares five children with her ex-husband Dean McDermott: Liam, 17, Stella, 16, Hattie, 12, Finn, 11, and seven-year-old Beau.

Spelling elaborated on the reasons behind keeping the placentas, explaining, "It's supposed to be good. It's something that's good for your body and they take it out of your body and it's good to put it back in your body."

While the practice of saving and consuming placenta is considered beneficial by some, the Mayo Clinic warns that eating it can actually be harmful.

During the podcast, Spelling's manager, Ruthanne Secunda, raised a practical concern, asking, "Probably not store it in your freezer too long. How long has it been in there?" Spelling admitted she wasn't sure and that she'd have to check.

However, she was certain that neither of the placentas belonged to her youngest son, Beau. That's because his placenta is stored in the freezer of Spelling's best friend, Jess. "I feel like she has asked me a few times over the last seven years to take that back and I say, 'Yep, next time I'm there!' And then I don't. I'm going to. I'm going to one day," she assured.

Spelling also disclosed that she hasn't kept the placentas from all her children due to several moves over the years, which led to some unfortunately getting lost. Reflecting humorously on the situation, she joked, "Imagine that, you guys: they got lost or left at a rental. Imagine you open up a freezer and it's Tori Spelling's placenta. That would be interesting to put on eBay."

In a surprising twist, Spelling shared that she and McDermott once cooked and ate her placenta. "One time, my ex - I was on board - we cooked the placenta and ate it," she said. "Dean's an amazing chef, so, I mean… He cooked it and seasoned it and it was actually really good."

Spelling's revelations come amid her recent divorce from McDermott after 18 years of marriage. Despite their split, the actress continues to openly discuss family life and personal stories on her podcast, much to the chagrin of her children. "My kids are like, 'Ugh, Mom, stop putting us out there and talking about us.' And I'm like, 'It's kind of our day job. I don't know what to tell you,'" she shared in May.
