It's been nearly three decades since their iconic hit, but the collaboration between the two famous figures, who star on 'Power Book II: Ghost', continues to leave a lasting impact both in music and TV.

AceShowbiz - It's been 29 years since Method Man and Mary J. Blige released "I'll Be There for You / You're All I Need to Get By", the single considered one of rap's greatest love songs. The duo reunited recently at the premiere of the final season of "Power Book II: Ghost", a crime drama series that's been a significant part of their careers for the past few years.

During the event at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, he opened up about their bond and the journey that brought them here. He told ET, "Mary [is] one of us. She's from where I'm from and I just love her. We always working together so I ain't going to miss her long. It ain't going to be for long. Yeah, we'll find another one."

Method Man, whose legal name is Clifford Smith, Jr., has endeared fans with his portrayal of defense attorney Davis MacLean on the show, a role he embraced since its inception. Reflecting on his time with the series, Smith said, "[I'll miss] the crew and the cast, some of the producers, the writers... [we have a] big family here."

The sentimentality extends to his young co-star, Michael Rainey Jr., who plays Tariq St. Patrick. "As the cast and crew, I think we all are. A lot of these guys have known Michael since he was very young, you know? So he kind of grew up with a lot of these guys," Method Man shared. "So yeah, I think we're all very protective of him, especially on social media."

Their collaboration on "Power Book II: Ghost" continues their long history of working together, dating back to the 1995 remix hit "I'll Be There for You/You're All I Need to Get By". Despite Method Man's initial hesitance to release it, the song achieved substantial success, peaking at number three on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and securing the No. 1 spot on the R&B singles chart for three weeks. It also earned them a Grammy for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group in 1996.
