The actress-turned-filmmaker declares that she is 'so proud' of her 17-year-old daughter, who unleashes her two debut tracks titled 'Stuck Up' and 'From a Distance'.

AceShowbiz - Sofia Coppola has declared that she is a "proud" mother. The actress-turned-filmmaker could not help but gush over her daughter Romy Mars, whom she shares with Phoenix frontman Thomas Mars, for releasing her debut singles.

On Wednesday, May 22, the 53-year-old former actress publicly shared that she is "so proud" of her daughter. In the caption of her new Instagram post, she gushed, "So proud of Romy's first 2 songs out today!" She went on to write, "Thank you to Claud for producing @claud.mp3. Link in bio."

In the same post, Sofia uploaded a photo of Romy, who was pictured riding a yellow motorcycle. She looked chic in a long-sleeved brown top and a pair of long blue denim pants. In addition, her long hair, which was parted to the side, cascaded down her back.

The post came shortly after Romy unleashed her single titled "Stuck Up", which she wrote herself and was produced by singer/songwriter Claud. On the particular song, she sings, "I'm sitting on the edge on the pool/ Until now summer's been so cruel/ The heat of wind hits my skin/ And you grab my legs trying to pull me in."

"I'm upside down I'm inside out/ There's no running from this now/ Your voice is so relieving/ It's worth the feeling," she continues. "Hooked on the way you lock me in/ Underwater so deep in/ Everything else fades away/ I only hear the things you say."

Romy also dropped a song titled "From a Distance". On the track, she rhymes, "You know I wanna make up but you call at all the wrong times/ I'm going crazy, read my mind, so read in between the lines/ It's hard to fake it/ I should just say it."

The singer, who is currently 17 years old, adds, "You know I'm tired of the same old thing/ I crave something new/ I know it's wrong to wish for something that'll never be true/ I hold it sacred/ I shouldn't waste it."
