AceShowbiz - The women of "The Talk" are preparing to give their daytime talk show a grand farewell as it wraps up its 15th and final season in December. Hosts Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, and Sheryl Underwood revealed their plans for the grand finale at the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation's 49th annual Gracie Awards in Beverly Hills.
"You'll have to watch! We've got some surprises," teased Underwood. "We're going out big and bold and beautiful!" added Morales. "And we'll get to do it right, which we're really excited about!" exclaimed Kloots.
CBS announced in April that the Emmy-winning show would receive a "proper sendoff" before its conclusion. "The Talk," which premiered in 2010, was originally pitched to CBS by Sara Gilbert and featured co-hosts Julie Chen Moonves, Sharon Osbourne, Leah Remini, Holly Robinson Peete, and Marissa Jaret Winokur.
The current stars, along with Akbar Gbajabiamila and Jerry O'Connell, are looking to the future with excitement about the opportunities that await them.
"With this career, you'll never know what happens," said Kloots. "A phone call changes your life."
Underwood expressed her gratitude for the show's platform and shared, "I think God is opening a door for us, and we're proud to be part of the talk history and CBS history and Paramount history."
Meanwhile, the co-hosts enjoyed the star-studded Gracie Awards event, which recognized exemplary programming created by women, for women, and about women.
"We're here with a room full of amazing women and we love being invited to help present," said Morales.
"It's so fun to be here," added Kloots. "It's my first time."
The Gracie Awards honored women for their versatility and impact. "They're not only talented, they're powerful," shared Underwood. "In a year that we really need powerful women out there."
"The Talk" has had a significant impact on daytime television, breaking new ground and earning numerous awards throughout its run. As it comes to an end, the current hosts are determined to give viewers a memorable send-off.
