In a new interview, the 27-year–old Emmy-winning actress admits that she doesn't know whether or not the third season of the hit HBO show would really happen.

AceShowbiz - Even Zendaya Coleman is not sure when season 3 of "Euphoria" will start production. In a new interview, the Emmy-winning actress admitted that she didn't know whether or not the third season would really happen.

"If it's right for the characters and everything turns out the way it should, of course," Zendaya told Variety at the "Challengers" premiere in Los Angeles in an article published on Tuesday night, April 16. "But it's beyond me."

The 27-year-old star, who serves as an executive producer of the hit HBO series, claimed that she's "not in charge" of season three's fate.

The new interview came after fellow "Euphoria" star Storm Reid weighed in on season 3 of the series. "If it's meant to be, we'll be back soon and we'll give the audience what they want and deserve," Storm, who portrays Zendaya's on-screen sister Gia, said. "We're on pause right now, but we're anxious to get back. Hopefully, we will be back."

Cast member Nika King, who played Zendaya's on-screen mom Leslie Bennett, also joked about not being able to pay rent because of the delay. "Season 3 is coming out… I don't know. Don't ask me. I don't know. It's one of those things. People are like, 'We need season 3.' I'm like, 'I need season 3, too!' I haven't paid my rent in six months," she said.

A recent report, meanwhile, claimed that the drama wouldn't likely go beyond its third season. According to Page Six, the teen drama is likely to bid farewell with fans in season 3. After ending season 2 in February 2022, the production of season 3 has yet to start, sparking complaints from fans and even cast members.

Despite the concerning reports, HBO and series creator Sam Levinson previously assured fans that season 3 will come with a bang. "HBO and Sam Levinson remain committed to making an exceptional third season," an HBO spokesperson said in a statement. "In the interim, we are allowing our in-demand cast to pursue other opportunities."
