Euphoria returns to Nielsen streaming charts with 556M minutes watched after season 3 premiere, while The Pitt hits a new series high.
- May 15, 2026
AceShowbiz - The HBO series Euphoria made its first appearance on the Nielsen streaming charts following the premiere of its third season. During the week of April 13-19, Euphoria accumulated 556 million minutes of watch time on HBO Max, securing eighth place among acquired series.
Nielsen categorizes shows that air on HBO's cable channel and stream on HBO Max as "acquired" for streaming purposes. Had Euphoria been classified as an original series for HBO Max, it would have ranked fourth on the same chart.
Meanwhile, The Pitt continued its strong performance by maintaining the number one spot overall for the third consecutive week. The medical drama reached a new series high with 1.39 billion minutes viewed during the finale week of its second season, which aired on April 16. This surpassed its previous peak of 1.21 billion minutes, set twice earlier in the season.
Year-over-year, The Pitt demonstrated consistent growth, with every week of its second season outperforming the corresponding week from season one by a significant margin.
Other notable streaming series included The Boys, which held the second position with 918 million minutes viewed on Prime Video, a slight increase from 899 million the week prior. Dan Levy’s Netflix comedy Big Mistakes also showed impressive growth, rising 38 percent to 580 million minutes from its premiere week.
New entries to the charts featured Peacock’s The Miniature Wife with 351 million minutes, appearing for the first time a week after its launch. Meanwhile, Netflix’s Beef (498 million minutes) and Apple TV’s Your Friends & Neighbors (332 million minutes) returned to the rankings with new seasons.
It is important to note that Nielsen’s streaming ratings only measure viewing on TV screens and exclude time spent watching on computers or mobile devices. Additionally, these figures apply solely to U.S. audiences.
The data for April 13-19, 2026, highlights the continued dominance of established series like The Pitt and the growing streaming popularity of Euphoria as it launches its latest season.
