AceShowbiz - Things didn't go all smooth during the 2023 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday, February 26. According to a new report, that night was chaotic as a handful of Hollywood A-listers were awkwardly stranded outside the venue during the award-giving ceremony in Los Angeles.

In a video obtained by Variety co-editor-in-chief Ramin Setoodeh, stars like Bill Murray, Claire Foy and Rooney Mara were forced to stand outside the ballroom as they were temporarily blocked from accessing the ballroom inside the Fairmont Century Plaza hotel.

"Total chaos at the SAG Awards as Claire Foy and Rooney Mara are not being allowed inside the ballroom of the Fairmont Hotel - they're told they need to wait for the Fire Marshal to let them and hundreds of other guests inside," Setoodeh wrote on Twitter on Sunday. "Even Bill Murray has to wait. This is madness!"

The footage saw Foy apparently looking annoyed as she was talking with another attendee in line. Mara, meanwhile, was seen sporting a stoic expression while chatting with someone else. As for Murray, the Hollywood icon was joined by a security guard as he waited nearby.

Mara's representative, meanwhile, revealed to The Post that the hold-up was just due to overcrowding. "Not a single actor was barred entry into the SAG Awards," the representative of the "Her" actress explained. "There was a delay upon entry to clear the carpet due to overcrowding however no one was barred, including Rooney." Social media posts additionally revealed that things were okay by 5 P.M. local time.

For the big event, Foy arrived in a yellow Prada gown that she paired with a sparkling clutch and diamond jewelry. Mara, meanwhile, opted for a sheer black-and-white Alexander McQueen number and minimal accessories. Both Mara and Foy were nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture for their work in "Women Talking", though the award was eventually given to "Everything Everywhere All at Once".

The two were joined by Jessie Buckley to present Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role, which went to Ke Huy Quan for his appearance in "Everything Everywhere All at Once".
