Thought it was recently reported that the 'Ghostbusters' star and the 'Milkshake' singer are just 'friends,' the 72-year-old actor is said to be seeing the 'Bossy' lyricist 'as a second chance.'

AceShowbiz - Bill Murray may have his hopes high to find new love in Kelis despite recent denial to their dating speculation. While the singer seemed to have debunked the rumors via her comments on social media, he is said to be "totally besotted" with her.
"Bill's totally besotted," a source tells Radar Online of Bill's alleged infatuation with Kelis. "He follows her everywhere and lays it on thick." The source adds that the 72-year-old sees the "Milkshake" hitmaker "as a second chance" following the death of his ex-wife Jennifer Butler, but the feelings may not be mutual. "She's playing coy - but he's got to back off."
The source goes on noting that Bill and Kelis grew closer after opening up with each other about the loss of their partners. "His friends think this is grief acting out. Bill was stunned when Jennifer suddenly died," the source explains. "They had been divorced since 2008 but they were still in each other's lives because of their four sons."
Bill's ex-wife Jennifer died of cancer in January 2021 at the age of 54. Meanwhile, Kelis lost her husband Mike Mora to stomach cancer in March 2022. He was 37.
If the "Ghostbusters" star still wants to pursue a serious relationship with Kelis, an insider advised him to take a calm and cool approach. "Her lifestyle is set in stone," the source says. "She travels a lot, then kicks back on the farm with her kids and her livestock."
The Sun reported earlier this month that Bill and Kelis have been "getting close for a while." Responding to the dating rumors, Kelis initially said she "wouldn't bother" to address it.
She later appeared to mock those believing the online reports. When responding to a fan who wrote, "bill got u out here riding his wave," the Grammy nominee penned, "Lol yeah maybe for now. everyones dumb and will believe everything but the best part is we are both blessed, rich and happy. So who's really laughing [...] now that's funny."
Meanwhile, Media Take Out recently reported that are just "friends" who are working on "a project together." Calling the dating rumors "silly," a so-called friend told the outlet, "They are working on a project together, and are friends. That's it. I have no idea where the rumors are coming from."
