AceShowbiz - It's show time for Group B of "The Masked Singer" season 6! In a new episode, which aired on Wednesday, October 13, the Queen of Hearts, the Mallard, the Cupcake and the Banana Split hit the stage to perform with the Caterpillar being announced as the new wild card contestant.
Kicking off the night was the Banana Split, who were made of two stars. The pair belted out "Cry Me a River" by Michael Buble. Jenny McCarthy raved, "Oh my gosh! What a performance!" Nicole Scherzinger added, "Banana Split did not come to play!" Ken Jeong guessed they could be Craig Robinson and Ashley Tisdale. Jenny suggested Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes, while Nicole thought it might be Sara Bareilles and Josh Groban.
Later, the Cupcake hit the stage to perform "Finesse" by Bruno Mars. As for her clues, she said, "I am a hopeless romantic. I have often called myself a black Liz Taylor because if I fall in love with a guy, I'm all in." Jenny named Grace Jones for her guess, while Ken believed it could be Tina Turner. Nicole guessed Tina Knowles.
Following it up was the Queen of Hearts, who sang "La Vie En Rose" by Edith Piaf. Of the performance, Robin Thicke said, "That is, by far, one of the vest vocal performances in sixth seasons on this show. You are the queen of our hearts." As for the guesses, the panelists threw names such as Ireland Baldwin, Ashley Judd and Miley Cyrus.
Up next was the Mallard, who opted to sing "My House" by Flo Rida. "I thought for sure that was a country singer and now you're rapping and dancing! You smashed it!" Nicole marveled. The Mallard's clues included Olivia Newton-John as his first celebrity crush. Robin was convinced that the Mallard was Freddie Prinze Jr. or Mario Lopez. Ken guessed Nick Offerman, while Jenny named Jon Bon Jovi.
The Caterpillar, who said that he lived in his car when he was young, then performed his rendition of "If I Were a Boy" by Beyonce Knowles. In the bonus clues, the Caterpillar said that he connected most with Robin "because I can't take my eyes off all his printed shirts." Robin guessed Howie Dorough or AJ McLean and Ken said it might be Aaron Carter. Nicole agreed with Robin about AJ.
It was time to reveal the vote results and the one who got eliminated this week was the Cupcake. Before she got unmasked, the panelists shared their final guesses. Ken changed his guess from Angela Bassett to Tina Turner. Jenny initially named Roberta Flack, but now she thought it might be Ruth Pointer. Robin and Nicole first guessed RuPaul. However, they now believed that it might be Leslie Jones or Grace Jones. The Cupcake was revealed to be Ruth Pointer!
