The 'All About That Bass' hitmaker recalls a 'horror story' about the birth of her son, saying she was terrified when the baby 'didn't make noise when he came out.'

AceShowbiz - Meghan Trainor had a "horror story" when she gave birth to son Riley, who "didn't make noise when he came out."

The "All About That Bass" star opened up about her baby's rough start to life in an interview with "Today", as she explained, "It was one of those horror stories where he didn't cry. He didn't make noise when he came out. I was like, 'Why isn't he crying?' "

The doctors then told Meghan that Riley, who arrived in February (21), was having some breathing issues - a prospect the singer found "terrifying." He was then taken to the neonatal intensive care unit, where he was given a feeding tube.

"I got to see him for one second before they took him away," she added. "That was probably the worst part. But we're so lucky we got to bring him home after five days."

Riley - Meghan's first child with her husband, actor Daryl Sabara - is now happy and healthy at three months old.

The singer welcomed baby Riley via Caesarean section in February and she described the bundle of joy as "the best Valentine's gift ever!"

It wasn't until a month later, she opened up about her son's rocky start. In a video posted on TikTok, the first-time mom showed the baby being hooked up to a variety of tubes and wires in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
