AceShowbiz - Snoop Dogg has paid tribute to his old rap affiliate Bad Azz, who has died in jail at the age of 43.
Bad Azz, real name Jamarr Antonio Stamps, who was a member of Snoop's rap posse, Tha Dogg Pound Gangsta Crips, and the collective LBC Crew, passed away on Monday, November 11, while being held at California's Southwest Detention Center on a domestic violence charge.
Paying tribute to his old protege, Snoop posted a snap of Bad Azz on Instagram and wrote, "Damn (crying emoji). R. I. P. To my young. D. P. G. L. L. G. L. B. C. Crew original @badazzlbc gone 2 soon."
Fellow rapper and Tha Dogg Pound member Daz Dillinger confirmed the news, posting Bad Azz's online booking sheet from the Riverside County's Sheriff's Office on Instagram and writing, "NO JUSTICE NO PEACE (peace gesture emoji) BAD AZZ RIP."
A cause of death had yet to be confirmed by Tuesday.
Over the course of his career, Bad Azz collaborated with the likes of Snoop, Bizzy Bone, [Tupac Shakur], and Warren G, and Daz's Tha Dogg Pound bandmate Kurupt.
