Her exit is also both shocking and upsetting for many staffers, especially after she says that she wants to 'represent a shift in the conversation for women' in her farewell message for fans.

AceShowbiz - Bethenny Frankel recently announced her departure from "The Real Housewives of New York City", adding that she wanted to move on and do something new. This announcement unsurprisingly shocked and upset her fans, but she apparently made the executive producers mad months before that.

Back in March, the reality TV star announced a partnership with MGM Television and Mark Burnett to produce unscripted TV projects. That pissed off the honchos at Bravo, according to Radar Online.

"They were very upset," an insider claimed to the news outlet. "A Housewife can do a one-off show like 'Dancing with the Stars'…not a regular series in reality TV. Everyone was pissed off."

The informant went on saying, "For all the things the network has done for Bethenny, it was a slap in the face." The source noted that Bravo decided to keep Bethenny because she was "good TV" despite her strange career move.

Her exit from the show was also both shocking and upsetting for many staffers, especially after she said that she wanted to "represent a shift in the conversation for women." The source said, "People are shocked, because she is the one who drove the show into all the drama and arguments. Now she is saying she doesn't want to be part of it."

The Skinnygirl founder announced her exit earlier this week. "I have decided to leave the Housewives franchise to explore my next chapter. It's time to move on and focus on my daughter, my philanthropy and my production partnership with Mark Burnett, producing and starring in shows which represent a shift in the conversation for women. With the changes in modern culture, I want to highlight the strength, confidence and unstoppable power that women have," the 48-year-old star said in a statement.

She went on sharing that she's learned a lot from starring on the Bravo series. "My experience at Bravo has been an incredibly magical ride. I am so grateful to them for highlighting my entrepreneurialism and allowing me to pave the way for many women to achieve their goals. I am excited for my future. The best is yet to come," she added.

Bethenny also bid farewell to fans in a lengthy Instagram post. After encouraging people to go for their dreams, Bethenny concluded her lengthy message, "Thank you so much for your love and support," before teasing, "And stay tuned, you haven't seen the last of me. There are many amazing things to come. I love you all and am so lucky to have you in my life!"
