AceShowbiz - As the holiday season comes to a close, hip-hop albums have once again taken over the Billboard 200 chart. Leading the chart this week is 21 Savage's "I Am > I Was", which earned additional 65,000 equivalent album units in the week ending January 3, according to Nielsen Music. Despite topping the chart, the album slips by 51 percent in its second week.

Similar to 21 Savage, A Boogie wit da Hoodie holds his second position with "Hoodie SZN". The effort racked up 58,000 in its second week. Trailing behind the rapper's sophomore studio album are a couple of former chart-topping albums, Meek Mill's "Championship" and Post Malone's "Beerbongs & Bentleys".

The former album climbs three spots to No. 3 with a little more than 48,000 units, while the "Rockstar" hitmaker's latest album blasts to the top five at No. 4 with 48,000 units. Another hip-hop album, "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" soundtrack, returns to its peak position at No. 5 with 46,000 units.

Other former chart-topping albums taking the top ten spots in this week's chart, including Drake's "Scorpion" and Travis Scott (II)'s "Astroworld". While the Canadian superstar's record-breaking album climbs at No. 6 with 44,000 units, the "Butterfly Effect" rapper's latest album moves three spots to No. 7 with nearly 44,000 units. The eighth position, meanwhile, goes to "The Greatest Showman" soundtrack, which dips from No. 5 with 43,000 units.

Closing out the top ten for this week's chart are Kodak Black's "Dying to Live", which stays steady at No. 9 with 40,000 units, and the soundtrack album to "A Star Is Born" which falls six spots to No. 10 with 40,000 units.

Due to no major new release, the Billboard 200 chart will likely remain static next week, according to Rolling Stone.
