Kennedy Holmes of Team Jennifer Hudson sings 'like a professional' when belting out her original song, while Chevel Shepherd from Team Kelly Clarkson gets a standing ovation for her sassy rendition of 'It's a Little Too Late'.

AceShowbiz - It's only a day away from the crowning of "The Voice" season 15 winner. On Monday night, December 17, the remaining four artists returned to the stage to show their best in hopes of winning audiences' hearts and their votes.

Those who are still vying for the top prize are Chris Kroeze and Kirk Jay of Team Blake Shelton, Chevel Shepherd of Team Kelly Clarkson and Kennedy Holmes of Team Jennifer Hudson. Meanwhile, Adam Levine has lost his chance to score another win this season after his last two contestants were eliminated last week.

Each finalist sang three times tonight. Chris Kroeze kicked it off with a cover of "Sweet Home Alabama" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Blake said Chris would bring something brand new to the 1974 hit, but his performance was pretty much a straight cover of the classic country rock song.

Chevel Shepherd followed it up with a rendition of "It's a Little Too Late" by Tanya Tucker. Showing more edgy side of her voice, she tweaked it into a soulful performance. Her mentor Kelly believed Chevel would win the competition as the coaches gave her a standing ovation.

Up next was Kirk Jay with an original song called "Defenseless" written by Laura Veltz, David Hodges and "The Voice" season 2 contestant Nicolle Galyon. It's a simple, soulful country ballad which suited Kirk very well, allowing him to show his emotion. Jennifer called him a true country artist and said that he made her a country music fan.

Jennifer's protege Kennedy Holmes also sang an original song afterward, "Love Is Free" which is written by Stefan Litrownik, Maggie Szabo and Chaz Stephen Wade Mason. The 14-year-old delivered a performance that suited her age, dancing on stage as she belted out the mid-tempo pop song. Jennifer praised her for performing like a professional for someone of her age.

Later, Kirk returned for a duet with his mentor Blake. They sang "You Look So Good in Love" by George Strait. Their performance was an ode to old fashioned country and they complemented each other so well.

The next duet was from Kennedy and Jennifer. Singing "Home" by Stephanie Mills, Kennedy amazingly proved that she could keep up with Jennifer's vocal range. The performance brought Kennedy to the next level.

Chris was back on stage to deliver an original song, "Human" written by Ross Copperman, Ashley Gorley and Shane McAnally. The song has a contemporary sound which is very different to Chris' previous performances. He was joined by a full choir but Chris failed to make it special.

Chevel was joined by her mentor Kell for a duet of "Rockin' with the Rhythm of the Rain" by The Judds. They showed off their playful side with a cover of the bluesy song, making Jennifer look happy as she snapped her fingers in her seat.

Another duet was performed by Chris and Blake, who opted to go with "Two More Bottles of Wine" by Emmylou Harris. Blake jokingly reminded Chris to "have some energy" on stage, but Chris continued to look unenergetic though their voices blended together.

Still from Team Blake, Kirk sang a cover of traditional country song "I Won't Let Go" by Rascal Flatts to further stamp his place in country music scene. There was a mic issue and a few pitch problems, but he still wowed in the emotional level of his performance.

Chevel returned to debut her new song, "Broken Hearts" written by Shane McAnally, Ashley Arrison and Aben Eubanks. The laid-back and simple performance showed Chevel's innocence and sweetness which made the song her own.

Kennedy wrapped up the night with a cover of "Confident" by Demi Lovato. Not playing it safe, Kennedy scored with the performance as she showed that she's a triple threat with her singing, dancing and story-telling skills. "She's the totall package... she's a star," Jennifer gushed about her mentee.

The winner will be announced on Tuesday night, December 18 on the live results show on NBC.
