Rumor has it Bravo will fire NeNe at the end of this season and tap the R 'n' B singer as a new lead of the reality series.

AceShowbiz - NeNe Leakes' return as a full-time cast member on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" may be short-lived. The TV personality/author, who first joined the show in the first season, is reportedly going to be fired at the end of the currently airing season 11 and will be replaced by another star who is less expensive.

"NeNe is very expensive, she's a diva, and her storylines are getting old. It's time to move on," a source allegedly close to Bravo tells MTO News about the reason of NeNe's possible firing. The network is reportedly looking for a big name to replace NeNe as the new "lead" of the hit reality series and that person being top of the list is reportedly R&B singer Monica.

"Monica is well known, she's got a lot of personality, and has some messiness in her life. She's perfect," the so-called insider explains, adding that the "Angel of Mine" hitmaker is interested in joining the cast "if the price is right." So far, negotiations are reportedly going well, meaning that there's a big chance fans will see the shakeup in the upcoming season of the show.

NeNe is the only original cast member of "RHOA" who is still on the show. She had a reduced appearance as a supporting cast member in season 8, but reportedly still earned her full salary from the previous seven seasons. She was absence from the whole season 9, before returning as a full-time cast member in season 10 until now.

NeNe has also starred on scripted series, playing swim coach Roz Washington on FOX's musical comedy-drama "Glee". She had a series regular role on another series co-created by Ryan Murphy, "The New Normal", which aired on NBC before being canceled after only one season.

As for Monica, she is known for her number 1 hits like "The Boy Is Mine", "The First Night", "So Gone" and "Everything to Me". Having had her own share of acting, she has starred on TV series "Living Single", "Felicity" and "American Dreams", and films including "Boys and Girls" (2000), "Love Song" (2000) and "Pastor Brown" (2009).
