Addressing 'Fantastic Four' flop at a SAG Conversation panel, the 'Black Panther' actor claims that he wouldn't take on the role if the 'Captain America' star hadn't given him a pep talk.

AceShowbiz - Chris Evans assured Michael B. Jordan he'd be great as Johnny Storm in the "Fantastic Four" flop.

The "Creed" star was devastated when the 2015 film was savaged by critics and then became one of the year's biggest bores, and Jordan admits he might not have taken the role had it not been for a little pep talk with "The Avengers" star, who previously portrayed the character a decade before.

"It obviously didn't do well... but I met Chris Evans at a party and he was like, 'Man, you'll be fine. Don't listen to the noise. You'll be great'," Jordan said during a recent SAG Conversation panel. "He was off playing Captain America, so he didn't care!".

The flop taught Jordan not to seek out reviews online: "The irresponsible journalism that's out there on Twitter and other social media is real so you have to tell yourself not to look at certain things," he explains, revealing there was one bright spot behind the bad film.

"Playing that role for me was seeing a lot of black and brown kids' faces dressed up as Johnny Storm that Halloween. That's cool and made it worth it."
