AceShowbiz - Janelle Monae and Luis Fonsi blessed everyone's morning on when they stopped by two different television shows on Friday, August 24. While the songstress graced the stage at "Today" Citi Concert series, the "Despacito" hitmaker hyped the crowd and viewers at home during his performance on "Good Morning America" Summer Concert series.
For her performance at the NBC morning show, Monae belted out energetic renditions of "Tightrope", "Make Me Feel" and more. She didn't forget to show off her incredible fashion sense during the gig. Monae was the latest act to perform for the show's concert series, following Kelly Clarkson and Shawn Mendes.
Meanwhile, Fonsi delivered some of his hit songs, including "Despacito" and "Echame La Culpa". He also performed a rendition of his latest single "Calypso" during his gig for the ABC show's concert series.
Others acts who have performed for the show at SummerStage in New York City's Central Park included Liam Payne, Halsey and Bebe Rexha.
1. Hyping the Crowd
One of her outfits for the performance included a black-and-white patterned onesie which she paired with a black bomber jacket. She also sported a black hat.
2. Showing More White
The 32-year-old songstress later changed her ensemble for a white jacket and a black T-shirt. She completed it off with a checkered pants while donning the same hat.
3. Look at My Sparkling Costume!
Also during her set, Monae took time to video call with an audience member's father who could not come to see her. She then invited the lucky fan to stand closer to her and thanked her father, who is a soldier, for his service for the country.
4. Going Casual
Unlike Monae, Fonsi opted for a casual look for his gig on the ABC show. Sporting dark blue jeans, he teamed it with a black T-shirt and a matching jacket.
5. Bringing Along Replacement
Demi Lovato, who was featured on his single "Echame La Culpa", did not join him onstage. Instead, he performed alongside Cathia.
6. It's Getting Hot Here
Even though his collaboration partner couldn't come, Fonsi sent her message of support during the show. "She's on the road to recovery and we just want to send out good vibes -- we love you Demi," he said.
