AceShowbiz - Pearl Jam felt the wrath of the Republican Party after creating a poster featuring a cartoon corpse of U.S. President Donald Trump.
The ad was designed by bassist Jeff Ament and artist Bobby Brown, then posted on the band's social media pages to promote Monday's (August 13) gig in Missoula, Montana. In the background of the poster, the White House is being destroyed in a fiery inferno, while Trump's body is on the ground and being eaten by a bald eagle - the national animal and bird of the U.S.
The artwork has since received widespread attention online, with Republican politician Matt Rosendale taking to Twitter to highlight the rockers' latest stunt.
"This poster from Pearl Jam is disgusting and reprehensible. It depicts a dead President Trump and a burning White House. It's time for @JonTester to denounce this act of violence and blatant display of extremism!" he wrote, referring to Senator Jon Tester.

Rosendale and Tester are currently both competing for a place in the U.S. Senate, while the concert in Montana aimed to raise funds for Tester's re-election campaign. However, the Democrat has yet to respond to his opponent's call to apologise.
Pearl Jam - which consists of Ament, Eddie Vedder, Mike McCready, Stone Gossard and Matt Cameron - are vocal regarding their opposition to Trump's presidency, and often use their live shows to criticise his policies.
The band's representatives declined to comment when approached by WENN.
